This is the BRANCH ONLY announcement for the Bonzo's Birthday CDR tree.

Since I have been on a 1980 audience source kick lately, I decided to tree the audience source of Vienna 6-26-80. I will use the canceled gig at Nuremberg 6-27-80 as filler. Both shows fit on 2 discs so I thought it would be rather convenient to have consecutive shows in one package. Hearing the two very different sounding sources contrast is also a treat. Vienna IMO is the best audience source from the 80 tour, while Nuremberg has that familiar 1980 board sound we all know and love. The Vienna master source had some right channel static that was meticulously removed by Tomislaw. To my ears, Vienna sounds better than the TDOLZ and Tarantura releases I have.

As many of you know, the Nuremberg show was canceled because Bonzo ate too many bananas. Back in the 40s or 50s, there was a movie called Bedtime with Bonzo, it starred a young Ronald Reagan and a chimpanzee named Bonzo. I thought the Bonzo/banana connection was too good to pass up.

A big thanks to Terra, M Gilson, and Tomislaw for their wonderful work.

This tree is a combination of 2 shows, Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria, June 26, 1980 Source: Master>CDR clone and Messezentrum Halle, Nuremberg, Germany June 27, 1980 Source: TDOLZ Fly Over Nuremberg

For Branch Signups Only:

1. To ensure you make good copies, and if you don't have a fancy burner which makes exact copies automatically, please take the time to read the following sites:

http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

http://pages.cthome.net/homepage/eac/index.htm

EAC is software that, when configured to your type of burner, will extract the music from the disc that I send you to your hard drive exactly. It is this stage where most digital copying errors occur. EAC is the best extraction software widely available at this time.

If you don't wish to bother will all that, then I ask that you sit down and listen to each disc in real time to make sure there are no pops, screeches, stuttering, or GAPS of silence between tracks.

2. The copies of this show have already been made and are on Kodak cdr media.

3. I will try to group branches with leaves who are geographically close to each other. However, you must be willing to accept foreign leaf sign-ups. If you are in Waco, Texas that means you might be expected to make a copy for someone in Australia.

4. As with most other trees, when you send the copies to your leafs, you can do either a 2:2 trade, 4 blanks for the show, 2 blanks plus shipping, or money order for cost of discs and shipping.

5. I will end leaf sign-ups on December 23rd so you may be able to take care of your leaves after the holiday rush is over.

Cool?
